Masculine Duck

I needed some French masculine birthday cards, so I thought I'd pair the new Moon Lake set with the new Adventure Bound DSP to get an outdoors-y, man-ly card. I few swipes of my Blendabilities for some extra color, and I love how it ended up.

Stamps: Moon Lake

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Island Indigo, Whisper White card stock; Adventure Bound DSP

A Happy Thing

I used my Blendies again on today's card. I wasn't sold on this Sale-a-bration stamp set at first, but it's grown on me as I've seen some great examples with it. I like the embossed background behind my colorful bird as well.

Ink: Island Indigo, Memento Tuxedo Black

Apple Blossoms

What a pretty pink blossom branch this turned into. I used my Pink Pirouette Blendabilities to color the blossoms in this new stamp, and love how spring-y it is. Gives some hope that this cold winter will end eventually!! I'm not sure what kind of blossoms they are supposed to be, but to me in Southern Quebec, they look like apple blossoms.

I left it with no sentiment, but I think it would work for Mother's Day, Easter, Birthday, Thank You, etc.

Perfect Peacock Notebook

I've been busy preparing for 3 upcoming holiday craft shows for the next 3 weekends. I'll be selling cards (of course), post it notes, bookmarks, ornaments, and covered hard cover journals like this one.

I colored the Perfect Peacock image with my Blandabilities and covered the front and back of the journal with 2013-2015 In Color DSP.

Colored Peacocks

It's the weekend! Woohoo!

Last night I went to my friend's house for some crafty fun with some other girls. Everyone worked on different projects in all different mediums. I decided to stamp some peacocks with the Perfect Peacock set and color them in different colors with my Blendabilities.

Which one is your favorite? :)

Ho! Ho! Ho! - NAC113

Happy Halloween! I thought I'd share a Christmas card for the occasion ;)

My card today is for the sketch challenge at Nacho Average Challenges. I love how all the details are in the little tag and then the designer series paper takes care of the rest of the card. I colored in the images with my Blendabilities markers. Even though I wasn't blending them, they still are great for coloring in any image without streaks.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Get Your Santa On, Good Greetings
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White card stock; Trim the Tree DSP stack

Misc: Various Blendabilities, Pearls, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Cherry Cobbler 1" Sheer Ribbon, Silver Baker's Twine, Dimensionals

Blended Birthday Blooms - NAC106

I've been having lots of fun with my Blendabilities markers this week. Something about the coloring and shading is relaxing to me. I figured since 2 of the 3 colors for this week's color challenge at Nacho Average Challenges were Blendabilities that I have, that I'd use them for my card. Here's what I ended up with...

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Bloom With Hope, Itty Bitty Banners

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Coastal Cabana, Blendabilities

Paper: Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White card stock; 2013-2015 In Color DSP

Misc: Oval Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Dimensionals, Pearls, Daffodil Delight 1/4" Cotton Ribbon

Framed Perfect Peacock

I loved the Perfect Peacock card that I made earlier this week so much that I decided to try making another and framing it. It was hard to get a pic without the reflection if the glass or frame, and this is the best I ended up with. In any case, I love it anyway!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Perfect Peacock

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Assorted Blendabilities markers, silver 5x7 frame (non SU)

The current challenge for Around the World Stampin' Up! Challenges is to make a card with an animal on it. Convenient that I'd been looking at my Perfect Peacock stamp recently and thinking I needed to use it again. So, here's what I came up with. I love how it pops against the Rich Razzleberry background.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Various Blendabilities markers, 1 1/4" scallop circle punch, 1" circle punch, Silver Baker's Twine, Dimensionals

Pink Flower for FabFri49

I felt like doing some more coloring, so I decided to use the big flower single stamp called Blended Bloom for the focal point in this card for the sketch challenge at Fab Friday. The flower ended up a bit brighter than I'd planned, but hopefully the white and black tone it down a bit. This is a simple card that could be used for many different occasions.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Blended Bloom

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Melon Mambo card stock; Silver Glimmer paper; 2013-2015 In Color DSP Stack

Turquoise Vases - PPA217

Sometimes a card doesn't need any extra embellishments at all. I tried to add something extra to this card I did based on the sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts, but between the colors in the image and the background DSP, it's already busy enough. The white space around the vases and the sentiment is much needed, but I find it looks nice and crisp. I love how the vases turned out, they make the image pop against the darker background colors.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Vivid Vases

Ink: Mossy Meadow, Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White card stock; All Abloom DSP stack

Misc: Blendabilities markers, 1" circle punch, 1 1/4" scallop circle punch, dimensionals

Sponged Doily Wreath - MM123

This week's challenge at Merry Monday is to make a card with a wreath on it. Since I don't really have any wreath stamps, I decided to be creative. I inked up a Tea Lace Paper Doily with a sponge dauber and Mossy Meadow ink. Next I cut the center out of it with a circle framelit. The ribbon is the 5/8" Whisper White Organza ribbon, which I colored with the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities marker to make it red. Finally, I decorated the wreath with some rhinestones that were also colored with my Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities marker.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Watercolor Winter Too

Ink: Versamark, Mossy Meadow

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand card stock; Gold Foil paper

Misc: White Tea Lace Paper Doily, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities marker, Rhinestones, Sponge Dauber, Circle Framelits, Woodgrain Embossing Folder

Bright Pink Daisies - PPA216

Here's a card I made for the sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts this week. It's super bright and colorful, which isn't my usual scheme, but I wanted to use my Sweet Taffy DSP and these colors seemed to work with the flowers. I hadn't played with my Blendabilites markers in awhile, so I figured I'd pull them out for this card. Here's what I ended up with:

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Bloom With Hope

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive Blendabilities

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight card stock; Sweet Taffy DSP

Misc: Deco Labels Framelits, Very Vintage Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, Glue Dots

I think I'm way more excited about this than I should be, but I just colored my RIBBON with my Blendabilities markers! That means I can have custom ribbon anytime!

I made this card for the color challenge at Fab Friday. This was the first time I've inked up this new hostess set, and I LOVE IT!!

Yellow Blended Birthday Bloom - NAC95

Today's card is for this week's sketch challenge at Nacho Average Challenges. I love how this flower pops on the Blackberry Bliss DSP. Purple and yellow are one of my favorite color combinations, so that's what I went with here.

The Blendabilities markers from Stampin' Up! are going to be available to you very soon. I love them much more than I thought I would, and I especially love how they can color rhinestones and pearls to match your theme.

For the sentiment, I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Hey You set, and then I cut it into two strips to match the sketch.

Stamps: Blended Bloom, Hey You

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Coastal Cabana

Paper: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White card stock; Moonlight DSP stack

Perfect Peacock with Blendabilities!

I'm back!! Wow, it's been a crazy busy few weeks! I got married mid May, and then we were away for 2 weeks. I put in my order when the new Stampin' Up! catalog launched on June 2, and my new stuff was waiting for me when we arrived home in Montreal yesterday! Yay!!

This Perfect Peacock stamp was one of the first things that stood out to me in the new catty, and it went onto my first order right away.

I've never colored with Copic or other alcohol based markers before, but with our new Blendabilities markers coming out I figured I'd give them a try. They were so easy to use and I love the effect.

I finished off the inside of my card with a strip of the new Beach House washi tape.
