The Essence of Love is Kindness - NAC128

Here's my entry for this week's color challenge over at Nacho Average Challenge. I *had* to use a bit of green, since the leaves would look a bit odd in gray. I really like the soft spring look of this card. I love coloring this ribbon with my Blendies to match the project colors!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Love is Kindness, Dictionary Background stamp

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Pink Pirouette, Smoky Slate and Wild Wasabi Blendabilities

Paper: Smoky Slate, Blushing Bride, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Oval Framelits, Pearls, Dimensionals, 5/8" Organza Ribbon

Birthday Bash - NAC123

I used a fun new stamp set that you can earn for free when you order 60$ from Stampin' Up! over the next few months. I also used some new DSP and the new Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim for my card for this week's challenge at Nacho Average Challenge. It was a fun sketch and I love the bright and cheerful card I ended up with.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Big Day (SAB)

Ink: Night of Navy

Paper: Calypso Coral, Whisper White card stock; Birthday Bash DSP

Misc: Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim, Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (star), glue dots

You Made My Day - NAC122

Ooooh, sparkly!! I got glitter all over the place trying to get all the little pieces out of this butterfly, but it was worth it! I made this card for the color challenge at Nacho Average Challenge this week, and I love it! This new thinlit set is so awesome, and it looks gorgeous in gold. The biggest butterfly is actually really big as you can see here. The sentiment is from a new Sale-a-bration set called Best Day Ever which is available for free if you put in a 60$ order.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Best Day Ever (SAB)
Ink: Versamark

Paper: Gold Glimmer Paper; Basic Black, Whisper White card stock

Misc: White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Butterfly Thinlits*

For The New Two - NAC121

Well, the holidays are over and hopefully I'll have some more time to get crafty again. I received some of my pre-order items from the 2015 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog, and have barely had any time to play with them. Today's card uses new DSP, a new stamp set, and a new embellishment. I've loosely based this card on the current sketch challenge from Nacho Average Challenges, but in the end decided not to cut the banner end on the middle DSP strip.

My blog is also celebrating it's 1 year anniversary! I can't believe how many projects I've shared and how many visitors I've had. Thank you for being part of that!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: For the New Two*

Ink: Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker

Paper: Blushing Bride, Whisper White card stock; Something Borrowed DSP*

Misc: Something Borrowed Embellishments*, Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Occasions Sneak Peak Card - NAC119

I made a card! My crafty time has been seriously limited lately with all the craft shows and holiday events, but I got my pre-order yesterday of items from the upcoming Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs, and I love it. This DSP is beautiful! And the butterfly thinlits are awesome!

I love all these spring colors and images, especially since we've been getting a ton of snow dumped on us in Quebec the past few days. Spring is still a long time away, but it felt a bit less wintery making this card :)

I used the sketch from this week's challenge at Nacho Average Challenge for my cards.

How many new items can you spot?

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Painted Petals (new)

Ink: Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky

Paper: Silver Foil Paper; Whisper White & Wild Wasabi card stock; Painted Blooms DSP (new); Irresistibly Yours DSP (SAB)

Misc: Brayer, Brights Candy Dots, Butterfly Thinlits (new), Decorative Label Punch, Painted Blooms Cotton Twine (new), Sponge Dauber, Dimensionals

Red Sparkly Stars - MM136 & NAC117

This is a combined color challenge from Merry Monday and sketch challenge from Nacho Average Challenges. Lots of sparkle and glitter here (I can handle glitter on Glimmer Paper, lol). There's a bit of snow falling here in Montreal, so hopefully that puts people in the Christmas mood for my craft show this weekend!

Birthday Greetings - NAC115

Hey look, not a Christmas card for a change! I was starting to get a bit tired of Christmas cards, so I figured I'd make a birthday card for this week's sketch challenge at Nacho Average Challenges. I let the DSP take over the show for this card. It's nice and splashy, without being too overwhelming, which I like a lot. I love this color combination, I'm not sure if I'd have thought to do it myself.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Wetlands

Ink: Island Indigo

Paper: All Abloom DSP, Island Indigo and Whisper White card stock

Misc: Regals Designer Buttons, White Baker's Twine, Dimensionals

Floral Sympathy - NAC114

I decided to make another sympathy card today to add to my stash, since I didn't have any. The colors from Nacho Average Challenge this week seemed muted enough that they'd work well for a sympathy card. I used lots of punches on this card, and here's what I ended up with:

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Petite Pairs, Beautiful Bunch

Ink: Baked Brown Sugar

Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, Pool Party, Very Vanilla card stock

Misc: Decorative Dots embossing folder, Fun Flower punch, Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Bird Builder punch (leaves), Pool Party Candy Dots, Dimensionals

Ho! Ho! Ho! - NAC113

Happy Halloween! I thought I'd share a Christmas card for the occasion ;)

My card today is for the sketch challenge at Nacho Average Challenges. I love how all the details are in the little tag and then the designer series paper takes care of the rest of the card. I colored in the images with my Blendabilities markers. Even though I wasn't blending them, they still are great for coloring in any image without streaks.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Get Your Santa On, Good Greetings
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White card stock; Trim the Tree DSP stack

Misc: Various Blendabilities, Pearls, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Cherry Cobbler 1" Sheer Ribbon, Silver Baker's Twine, Dimensionals

Hello Hello - NAC112

I like the colors for the current challenge at Nacho Average Challenge. They aren't colors I'd typically use together, but they make a nice bright and cheerful card. This is a super simple card. I made the background with the stamp from the Hello Darling set.

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry

Paper: Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock

NAC111

My card won as Top Nacho last week at Nacho Average Challenges. Thank you ladies so much!

Today's card is for the sketch challenge currently going on at Nacho Average Challenges. I'm not loving the little banners at the top of my card for some reason, but I tried a bunch of different things and that's the best I came up with.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Hey You, Petite Petals

Ink: Blackberry Bliss

Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White card stock; Moonlight DSP Stack

Misc: Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities Marker

Flamingo Lingo for TSSC335 & NAC110

Last week one of my cards won as Top Nacho, and another one won as a Top Pick at Techno Stamper. Thanks to both, it's always nice to get recognition!

Sometimes cards come together in minutes. Other times I try all kinds of things before settling on something. Today's card took me forever! Maybe because I was trying to fit 2 challenges in it, but the sketch challenge from Techno Stamper this week I found to be super hard for some reason. The color challenge from Nacho Average Challenges was equally tough, I found. Put them together, and I ended up with this:

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Flamingo Lingo, Petite Pairs

Ink: Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding

Paper: Pistachio Pudding, Calypso Coral, Whisper White card stock; 2013-2015 In Color DSP

Misc: 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Pistachio Pudding Baker's Twine, Dimensionals, Pearl

Pink Climbing Flowers - NAC109

This week's sketch challenge from Nacho Average Challenge automatically made me think of lines of thread. So, I wrapped a bunch of linen thread around a piece of cardstock, and then decided to add some little flowers to climb along it, which reminds me of a trellis in the garden.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Wetlands

Ink: Soft Suede

Paper: Soft Suede, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzaz

Misc: Linen Thread, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Pearls, Glue Dots

Orange Kitty - NAC108 & FMS155

It's rare for me to emboss directly on the card base when I'm making a card, but for some reason I decided to in this sketch to keep it simple. I combined the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches with the color challenge from Nacho Average Challenge. I decided to use the orange to stamp an orange kitty, so the rest of the card fell into place around that.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: You Little Furball, Petite Pairs

Ink: Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow

Paper: Mossy Meadow, Whisper White card stock; Moonlight DSP stack

Misc: Lovely Lace Embossing Folder, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Rhinestone, Baker's Twine, Blackberry Bliss Satin Stitched Ribbon, Rhinestone, Dimensionals
