Crazy About You for Father's Day - PPA239

My card today is for the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts. I found them to be rather masculine colors, so I figured I'd make a father's day card with some new sets. I was tempted to color the boat in red, but I thought there might end up being too much red so I just left it as is.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Moon Lake, Crazy About You

Ink: Soft Suede, Real Red

Paper: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Sponge Dauber, Real Red Candy Dots, Woodgrain Embossing Folder

Masculine Duck

I needed some French masculine birthday cards, so I thought I'd pair the new Moon Lake set with the new Adventure Bound DSP to get an outdoors-y, man-ly card. I few swipes of my Blendabilities for some extra color, and I love how it ended up.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Moon Lake

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Island Indigo, Whisper White card stock; Adventure Bound DSP

Misc: Blendabilities, 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon, Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon

Masculine Wonderful - PP214

This week's challenge at the paper players is to make a masculine birthday card. I just received the new photopolymer set You're Wonderful, so I decided I'd use that for today's card. It's not necessarily a birthday card, but it could definitely be used as one.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: You're Wonderful, Handcarved

Ink: Lost Lagoon, Night of Navy

Paper: Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Star punch (Itty Bitty Punch Pack), glue dots

Traveling Ship

Here's my card for the sketch challenge this week at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I won the Traveler set in a raffle at my upline's last week, it definitely wasn't on my must have list, but I have to admit, it's pretty cute. Plus it's gonna make great masculine cards. The map in the background was a perfect companion for the ship.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: World Map, Traveler

Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Suede

Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla

Misc: Gold Baker's Twine, Circle Framelits, Neutrals Candy Dots, Sponge Dauber, Dimensionals

One Fish, Blue Fish - CCMC296

Here's another masculine birthday card. When I saw the colors for the challenge at Create with Connie and Mary, I knew I wanted to use this ribbon, but wasn't sure what I was going to do. Then I came up with this idea, and like how it turned out. I got this stamp set awhile ago, but it was the first time I inked it up.

Recipe:

Stamps: By the Tide, Express Yourself

Ink: Pacific Point, Smoky Slate (sponged edges)

Paper: Summer Starfruit, Smoky Slate and Pacific Point card stock

Misc: Pacific Point 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon, Summer Starfruit 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon, Circle framelits, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, sponge dauber, dimensionals

Lovely as a Tree Father's Day

So today's card is kinda late, but here it is! This week has not been good for creating and blogging :(

I saw Amy K's Woodgrain frame the other day, and have wanted to do something similar ever since, so I decided the sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday would be a great place to try it. The twist for the sketch was to make a masculine card, so I made a father's day card.

Recipe

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Hardwood, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Soft Suede

Paper: Soft Suede, Pear Pizzaz, Naturals White card stock

Misc: Neutrals Candy Dots, Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon

Spiral Spins Masculine Birthday Card - TSSC307

One thing I realized is that I don't make enough masculine birthday cards. I was at a craft show on the weekend and everyone was looking for guy birthday cards. So, today I turned the flowery sketch from Techno Stamper into a guy card with spirals and guy colors.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Spiral Spins, Remembering Your Birthday

Ink: Garden Green, Marina Mist, Soft Suede

Paper: Garden Green, Soft Suede, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Neutrals Candy Dots, dimensionals

Throw Back Thursday! TSSC300

I love Vegas, and that was the inspiration for today's card. I decided to pull out some OLD Stampin' Up! paper I have and use that for this card.

I used the sketch from Techno Stamper for the design.

I added some gold sequins to dress it up a bit. It'll make a great guy birthday card.
