Perfect Peacock Notebook

I've been busy preparing for 3 upcoming holiday craft shows for the next 3 weekends. I'll be selling cards (of course), post it notes, bookmarks, ornaments, and covered hard cover journals like this one.

I colored the Perfect Peacock image with my Blandabilities and covered the front and back of the journal with 2013-2015 In Color DSP.

Black Cat Gift Box Punch Board Treat Holder

Here's a funny little treat holder I made for Halloween of a black cat using the new Gift Box Punch Board.

The punch board makes it so easy to make little gift boxes in a variety of sizes. I dressed mine up to look like a cat, but just plain with a ribbon is going to make some wonderful Christmas gift packaging.

To make his little nose, I punched out a heart and covered it with Crystal Effects.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Good Greetings

Ink: Silver Encore

Paper: Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Pear Pizzaz card stock

Misc: Gift Box Punch Board, Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Crystal Effects, Modern Label Punch, Triangle Punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (heart)

Framed Perfect Peacock

I loved the Perfect Peacock card that I made earlier this week so much that I decided to try making another and framing it. It was hard to get a pic without the reflection if the glass or frame, and this is the best I ended up with. In any case, I love it anyway!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Perfect Peacock

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Assorted Blendabilities markers, silver 5x7 frame (non SU)

Christmas Gift Card Holder

Today, I wanted to share the bonus project we made at my card class this weekend. This gift card holder is based off a template that my friend Karine has shared on her blog before, and I thought that the new Festival of Trees set would work well on a gift card holder. Everyone loved this simple project, and I'm sure they will all be making more for the holiday season.

I cut the Crumb Cake base at 4 1/4" x 6 1/4", and scored it on the long side at 2 1/4" and 4 3/4". I used Sticky Strip to attach the 2 short sides. Then I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock at 2" x 4 1/4" for the front, and a piece of Trim the Tree DSP at 1 3/4" x 4 1/4". Inside, there is another strip of DSP at 3/4" x 4 1/4". I finished off the front with the sentiment from the new hostess set Good Greetings stamped in Garden Green and a tree from the Festival of Trees set punched with the new Tree punch. I used a couple dimensionals to lift it up a bit. Inside I stamped the To: / From: stamp that also comes with the Festival of Trees set.

Here are the other projects we created at my weekend class. If you are in the Montreal area, and are interested in attending one of my upcoming classes, get in touch with me!

Goodies for my catalog launch party!

My catalog launch party and 2 for 1 sale is this Saturday! If you're in the Montreal area and are interested, get in touch with me!

I wanted to make a little gift for each attendee, so I made these cute little sour cream containers, they've got some Stampin' Up! goodies inside. Lucky guests!

I made them using a 5.5x4.25" piece of DSP and sticky strip. The paper stacks work great for these! I used the new Moonlight DSP for mine. Then I added a punched out stamped image from the new hostess set Hello There, and finished them off with some gold bakers twine.

Here are some in the different paper designs:

Thanks for looking!

Single K-Cup Holder

I had a challenge to make a tea bag holder for a Facebook group, but I don't have any tea bags at home so I decided to make a Keurig K-Cup holder instead. I had a request to post directions on how to make it, so I've included them below.

Directions:

Start with a piece of 11"x5" card stock (I used Pool Party).

Score on the short side at 1 1/2" and 3 1/2".

Score on the long side at 1/2", 2 1/2", 4 1/2" and 6 1/2".

On both long sides, cut each score line to the perpendicular score line.

Cut off the 2 flaps beside the 1/2" x 2" part.

With a 1 3/4" circle punch, punch in the middle of the 2" x 2" square beside the 1/2" x 2" piece.

Punch with the long end with the scalloped tag topper punch.

Fold on all the score lines and use adhesive to form a box.

Decorate as you want. I wrapped the box part with a 2" x 8" piece of Sweet Sorbet DSP, and the two sides of the back part as well. I wrapped a piece of silver baker's twine around the box, and added a Pour Toi sentiment from the Chalk Talk set, attached with a mini clothespin. On top of the K-Cup, I attached a flower made with Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and the Spiral Flower die. I added a large rhinestone to the middle of the flower for some extra sparkle.

SAB Tic Tacs

Here's a project we'll be making at my card class this Friday in Greenfield Park, Quebec. It's a cute little tic tac cover, using some of the free sale-a-bration supplies.

The DSP and twine are free SAB items available when you spend 60$ on Stampin' Up! products.

The little flower is from the Spring Occasions catalog (Petite Petals), and the bigger one is from the Flower Shop set.

Luck of the Irish! PPA191

As soon as I saw the colours for this week's color challenge at Pals Paper Arts, I immediately thought of St. Patrick's Day! (Well, maybe not the orange so much, but anyway...) I also wanted to do something different than a card for a change, and I had a Facebook group challenge to use the Envelope Punch Board on a project, and so this basket was born!

I filled it with chocolate gold coins, for some lucky leprechauns :)

The shamrock is made with the smallest heart in the heart framelits collection, and the green zig zag DSP is from the Watercolor Wonder set.

The sentiment comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set, and I finished it off with some Gumball Green ribbon and the Paper Doilies.

Secret Garden Post It Notes

I made these for the craft shows I was in in the Montreal area before the holidays. They sold like crazy and I had to make more several times!

The flower is embossed in white and colored in with a sponge dauber.

Valentines Heart Project

I have a card class tonight at my house in Greenfield Park, Quebec. Other than 3 cards, I have an extra Valentine's project planned.

This is similar to the Valentine Treat Holder than Shelley Godby posted last year, but I made a few changes. I embossed the Pink Pirouette heart with the Fancy Fan embossing folder and I stamped the front heart with the new Flowerfull Heart stamp and embossed it in silver. I made the bow with a piece of Pink Pirouette ribbon tied with a bit of silver ribbon and attached with a glue dot.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any pink Ghirardelli chocolates here in Canada, but I did find some York peppermint hearts that worked nicely :)

Apple Bookmarks

Before the holidays I had tables in several craft shows in the Montreal area to sell my cards and other paper crafts. One of the items I sold a lot of were bookmarks made with giant paper clips.

I was very happy to receive a call from a woman a few weeks ago who had bought a bookmark requesting several more. Since I'd basically sold out all the ones that I'd made, I whipped up some more for her.

The apple stamp is from an old retired set called Tart & Tangy, which I've had for years and always use for teacher cards :) I colored the stamp with my Real Red and Gumball Green markers, and punched with a circle punch. The jumbo paper clips are from Staples. I used my hot glue gun to attach the scallops (the bookmarks have the same image on both sides), and finished them off with a bit of ribbon.
