I Seriously Love You - FabFri57

Here's a simple Valentine's card I made for my hubby. I tried to keep it simple since it's for a guy. I used the colors from this week's challenge at Fab Friday as inspiration, which goes perfectly with the Stacked With Love DSP background.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Because You Care

Ink: Real Red. Calypso Coral

Paper: Real Red, Whisper White card stock; Stacked With Love DSP

Misc: Pearls, Calypso Coral Blendabilities, Sponge Dauber, Hearts Framelits, Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon

Grateful for You - FabFri54

Even though Thanksgiving is past here in Canada, I figured I'd use the colors for the challenge at Fab Friday this week for one last fall/thanks style card. My gold sequins were still sitting on my desk, so they ended up in today's card as well. They give a nice sparkle to the card without having to resort to the dreaded glitter :P

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Merry Everything

Ink: Cajun Craze

Paper: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Whisper White card stock; Moonlight DSP stack

Misc: Gold Sequin Trim, Tag Topper Scalloped Punch, Note Tag Punch, Dimensionals, Woodgrain Embossing Folder

Glitter Shaker Scene - FabFri53

I decided to use this week's sketch from Fab Friday to make a shaker card. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate glitter? I momentarily forgot how horrific it is until I dumped it into the middle of my shaker and then wished I hadn't. Glitter sticks to EVERYTHING and gets EVERYWHERE. I'm pretty sure I'll be finding glitter on my cats for the next few days. Anyway, this is what I ended up with. Lots of sparkle and silver!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: White Christmas, Work of Art
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Encore Silver

Paper: Coastal Cabana, Whisper White card stock; Trim the Tree DSP

Misc: Square Framelits, Silver Stampin' Glitter, Window Sheets, Blendabilities, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Frosted Sequins

Just for you - FMS158 & FF52

My card was picked last time as a Fab Four over at Fab Friday. Thanks so much for that recognition!

I wanted to use the Fab Friday colors to make a non-Halloween card, and this is what I ended up with. I stamped off the Blackberry Bliss and Tangelo Twist ink onto scrap paper to lighten it a bit. The orange and black still make it look kinda Halloween-y though. The Tangelo Twist sequins came in last month's Paper Pumpkin kit. I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for this card. It was a different sketch for sure...

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Work of Art, Gorgeous Grunge

Ink: Tangelo Twist, Blackberry Bliss

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder, Tangelo Twist Sequins (Sept Paper Pumpkin), Glue Dots

For All Things - FabFri51

Today's sketch seems similar to yesterday's card, but this one is for the sketch at Fab Friday. Since Thanksgiving in Canada is coming up this weekend, I decided to make another Thanksgiving themed card. I like the leaf stamp in this set and how it can make such an easy background.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: For All Things

Ink: So Saffron, Baked Brown Sugar, Calypso Coral

Paper: Calypso Coral, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White card stock

Misc: 1 3/4" Circle Punch, 2" Circle Punch, Gold Sequin Trim, 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon, Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals

Gold Wedding Card - FabFri50

I had planned to make a 50th Anniversary card for this week's color challenge at Fab Friday, but once I started playing with this vellum with the hearts on it, I thought it'd make a great wedding card. I picked up this Mr & Mrs stamp right before it retired, but I like it so I figured I'd use it for this card anyway. It ended up looking nice and rich with the gold embossing and the gold ribbon to match the vellum.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Mr. & Mrs.

Ink: Versamark

Paper: Whisper White card stock, Gold Foil Paper, Gold Fancy Designer Vellum

Misc: Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Gold 1/8" Ribbon, Dimensionals

Pink Flower for FabFri49

I felt like doing some more coloring, so I decided to use the big flower single stamp called Blended Bloom for the focal point in this card for the sketch challenge at Fab Friday. The flower ended up a bit brighter than I'd planned, but hopefully the white and black tone it down a bit. This is a simple card that could be used for many different occasions.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Blended Bloom

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Melon Mambo card stock; Silver Glimmer paper; 2013-2015 In Color DSP Stack

Misc: Silver Bakers Twine, Melon Mambo Blendabilities markers, Coastal Cabana Blendabilities markers, Large Rhinestone (retired), Dimensionals

Sweet Baby for FabFri47

Today I'm sharing a card I made for Fab Friday. This set is super cute, and worked well for this sketch. I colored the bunny with a blender pen in Baked Brown Sugar, Hello Honey and Crisp Cantaloupe ink. The word baby I filled in with the white gel pen.

Pretty Blue & Yellow Flowers - FabFri46

I think I'm way more excited about this than I should be, but I just colored my RIBBON with my Blendabilities markers! That means I can have custom ribbon anytime!

I made this card for the color challenge at Fab Friday. This was the first time I've inked up this new hostess set, and I LOVE IT!!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: I Like You, Gorgeous Grunge, Petite Pairs

Ink: Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana

Paper: Strawberry Slush, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Deco Labels Framelits, Organza Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana Blendabilities

Burlap & Blue Birdies - FabFri45

And I used the burlap ribbon again! It seemed like the right width for the sketch at Fab Friday. It's hard to tell in the pic, but all the blues are the same (Lost Lagoon), the camera really isn't doing it justice.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Serene Silhouettes

Ink: Baked Brown Sugar

Paper: Lost Lagoon, Very Vanilla card stock

Misc: Labels Framelits, Baked Brown Sugar & Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write markers, Burlap ribbon, Lost Lagoon ribbon, Woodgrain embossing folder, gold sequins, pearls, sticky strip, dimensionals, glue dots, sponge daubers

Lots of Sports & Lots of Colors - FabFri44

This week's challenge at Fab Friday is to use all the new In Colors in a single card. Quite a challenge! A lot of the cards I saw took on a rainbow type theme, but I wanted to get them all in differently. I also wanted to use my new Simply Sports set, so I figured it'd be a good excuse to create a masculine birthday card, perfect for one of the kids' friends or something. Here's what I ended up with:

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Simply Sports

Ink: Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Tangelo Twist

Paper: Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Bitty Banners framelits, sponge daubers, dimensionals

Work of Art - FabFri43

Today's card, inspired by the sketch challenge at Fab Friday, started out as a single layer card, but it looked too plain so I cropped it and added a frame around it.

I masked off the strip in the middle while I stamped the background in Crumb Cake ink with Gorgeous Grunge. Then I used some of the new In Color inks to stamp the hearts and sentiment from the Work of Art stamp set. I finished it off with some new washi and ribbon, and I colored a few rhinestones yellow with my Blendabilities to give it a bit of bling.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge, Work of Art

Ink: a Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon

Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Lost Lagoon Stitched Satin ribbon,
Beach House washi tape, Envelope Punch board, rhinestones, Daffodil Delight Blendabilities

FabFri39 - Stampin' Up! Retiring Products card #3

I'm having fun using some of the retiring products to showcase in my blog this week, to show you what you'll be missing and no longer be able to order once they are sold out. Both stamp sets that I used in this card for this week's sketch challenge at Fab Friday are being retired, as is the DSP and the Little Leaves die.

To color the flower, I stamped it with Versamark and sprinkled white embossing powder on top, and heat embossed it. Then I took my sponge daubers, and rubbed some Island Indigo ink over it. Then I did the same thing with another one but in Daffodil Delight, and fussy cut the middle out. I attached it to the blue one with a dimensional, and added some Dazzling Diamonds to give it some sparkle.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Perfectly Penned, Secret Garden

Ink: Versamark

Paper: Gingham Garden DSP, Basic Grey, Whisper White, Pear Pizzaz card stock

Misc: Black embossing powder, White embossing powder, Little Leaves die, dimensionals, Dazzling Diamonds

Spiral Mother's Day - FabFri36

I've been staring at the colors for the challenge at Fab Friday for a week trying to get inspiration. I think the fact that there were 5 colors was throwing me off. Until I thought about it and realized I use black and white most if the time anyway.

I find the font in the My Mother set is a little childish, so I added the spirals to go with it.

Recipe:

Stamps: My Mother, Spiral Spins, Petite Petals

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush, Black Stazon

Paper: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Circle framelits, Petite Petals punch, rhinestones

Hello There - FabFri35

I wanted to try to use stamps I've never used before, rather than the ones I feel like I keep using lately, so I pulled out the set Happy Day for this sketch challenge over at Fab Friday. I already was making something else with Pear Pizzaz and Blushing Bride so I used some scraps for this card. I love these colours together, aren't they nice and springy?

I wanted to do something different than use a doily for the bottom, so I heat embossed the bottom part with white embossing powder.

The ribbon is some retired Blushing Bride ribbon I had in my stash.

Lots of Spots Birthday Card - SSSC206 & FabFri34

I didn't think I liked this paper at all in the Fresh Prints DSP paper stack. In fact, this card started with a totally different background. But then I tried it with this one and was sold!

It's based on the sketch from this week at Sweet Sunday:

It also meets the criteria for the Fab Friday color challenge:

The red flower centers are punched from red glimmer paper with the circles in the cupcake builder punch.

Recipe:

Stamps: Petite Petals, Banner Blast, Another Great Year

Ink: Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana

Paper: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana card stock; Fresh Prints DSP; red glimmer paper

Misc: Circle Framelits, Petite Petals punch, Banner punch
