My First Ever Shaker Card! - FMS156

I've been seeing shaker cards everywhere lately, so I figured I'd order some window sheets and get in on the fun. They arrived last week, along with the Seasonally Scattered set, so I figured I'd give it a try with the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches. I went with the Love sentiment to get away from the fall and Christmas themes that have been going on lately. This would make a nice Valentine's Day card or even a wedding card I think.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Seasonally Scattered

Ink: Baked Brown Sugar

Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White card stock; 2013-2015 In Color DSP; Window Sheets

Misc: Circle Framelits,  2013-2015 In Color Sequins, Sweetheart Punch, Linen Thread, Pearls, Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Merry & Bright - MM128

What better way to make a card for the challenge at Merry Monday to use stripes and polka dots than to use the Stylish Stripes and Perfect Polka Dots embossing folders? :) Super simple card, lots of embossing and punching though, and not a lot of stamping.

Scattered Thanksgiving - TSSC334

I got the new set called Seasonally Scattered recently, and I figured the large sentiment would look great in the middle of this week's sketch from Techno Stamper. Since it's almost Thanksgiving here in Canada, and it's starting to feel more like fall, I'm getting a little bit more in the mood to use these colors.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Seasonally Scattered

Ink: Always Artichoke

Paper: Always Artichoke, Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Linen Thread, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder

Pink Climbing Flowers - NAC109

This week's sketch challenge from Nacho Average Challenge automatically made me think of lines of thread. So, I wrapped a bunch of linen thread around a piece of cardstock, and then decided to add some little flowers to climb along it, which reminds me of a trellis in the garden.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Wetlands

Ink: Soft Suede

Paper: Soft Suede, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzaz

Misc: Linen Thread, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Pearls, Glue Dots

Back to Black for CCMC322

Today's card is for the color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. These are obviously fall/Halloween colors, but as I've said before, I'm not much of a Halloween card maker, so I went a different way. I really wanted to showcase the black and yellow, so I just added a touch of orange to the flowers in the end. Isn't this Back to Black DSP lovely?

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Perfect Pennants, Petite Petals

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Crushed Curry

Paper: Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock; Back to Black DSP

Misc: Ovals Framelits, Petite Petals Punch, Tangerine Tango Candy Dots, Glue Dots
