This card is for this week's sketch challenge over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.

It took me a couple days looking at the sketch to get an idea. I like the black and pink together and all the different textures. I used all the 2013-2015 in colors too.

It wasn't on purpose, but the ribbon kinda looks like the stem on the flower :)

Happy Birthday J!

It's my favorite 8 year old's birthday today, and this is the card I made him.

He loves Lego and Batman, so I wanted to try some fun punch art.

I used oval framelits for the cape and punched out some chunks with an oval punch. The head is another oval and I used the word window punch a few times at the top, and the ticket punch for the mouth.

Two Challenges, One Card (CCMC286, MOJO328)

Here's a card I did using both a sketch challenge and a color challenge.

I like this color combination and will need to use it again. The sketch was different and more challenging than I expected.

Stanley Cup Punch Art Birthday Card

I made this card for a friend whose birthday was this past week. She loves the Habs, and she's a card maker too, so I wanted to make her a unique card.

I rounded and sponged all the strips of paper, and the top was half of a punched circle. I traced the Montreal Canadiens logo on vellum paper with markers.

Zoo Babies! PPA188

This week's sketch over at Pals Paper Arts is a pretty simple sketch. I'm not sure I like keeping things simple, but I tried... :)

I like the Zoo Babies set a lot, it's great for baby cards, but for some reason I mostly use the elephant... Maybe because he's a good size to use alone and a good shape? 

Anyway, since it was such an easy card, I made a couple more in different colors. :)
