This is a combined color challenge from Merry Monday and sketch challenge from Nacho Average Challenges. Lots of sparkle and glitter here (I can handle glitter on Glimmer Paper, lol). There's a bit of snow falling here in Montreal, so hopefully that puts people in the Christmas mood for my craft show this weekend!

Santa Ornament

A few weeks ago I shared some porcelain ornaments I had made. I've been having fun making these ornaments, and wanted to share another one today. This one is made with the *vintage* Stampin' Up! set Santa's List.

Happy Thanksgiving to my American readers!

Pine Branch - FMS163

My card today is for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I used the Ornamental Pine set, and then "spruced" it up (haha, get it?) with some Dazzling Details glitter. This is the only format of glitter I can really handle, since it's already gluey. I used some snow sequins to embellish the ribbon on the front.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Ornamental Pine

Ink: Garden Green, Early Espresso

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White card stock; Trim the Tree DSP

Misc: Cherry Cobbler Sheer 1" Linen Ribbon, Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Frosted Sequins, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dazzling Details Glitter

Endless Wishes - NAC116

Well, these are definitely not your normal snowflakes, but I wanted to do something different for the color challenge at Nacho Average Challenge, and this is what I ended up with. I love how rich these colors are, and this fabulous ribbon is an awesome touch to this card, to make the red pop.

Blue & Silver Christmas Bauble - MM134 & TSSC340

All week I wasn't sure what to use for the Merry Monday challenge, since I didn't think I had any current Christmas ornament stamps, then I realized that of course I have Christmas Bauble. I figured that it'd work well with the Techno Stamper sketch challenge for the week as well. After a mishap with glitter (note to self, you still hate glitter), I ended up with this glitter-less card. :)

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Christmas Bauble

Ink: Versamark

Paper: Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Smoky Slate card stock; All is Calm DSP

Misc: Silver 1/8" Ribbon, Pearls, Dimensionals, Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write Markers, Silver Stampin' Dazzle Marker

Christmas Card with November My Paper Pumpkin Pieces - SSC88

My Paper Pumpkin kit came in yesterday, and as soon as I saw it, I was in love with the silver snowflake die cuts, as well as the stamps. I decided to make my card for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge using pieces from the kit, and here's what I ended up with. There are lots of rhinestones on there! Once I started putting them on I had a hard time stopping!

Ink: Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky

Paper: Lost Lagoon, Whisper White, Smoky Slate card stock

Misc: Rhinestones, Silver star and Baker's Twine from November Paper Pumpkin, All Is Calm Washi Tape, Sponge Dauber

Get Your Santa On - PP221

My fun little Santa card today is for the color challenge at the paper players this week. It's hard to see, but I jazzed him up a little bit with a silver belt buckle and some Dazzling Details on his sleeve cuffs, hat and bottom of his coat. The embossing folder has been around for awhile and is in the annual catalog, but for some reason I only just ordered it recently. I have a feeling I'll be playing around more with it soon!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Get Your Santa On

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla card stock

Misc: Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Rhinestones, Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker, Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Marker, Silver Stampin' Dazzle Marker, Dazzling Details Glitter

Cozy Country Christmas Card - AW28

And it's another Christmas card... I keep thinking Christmas is ages away still, but it's really just over 6 weeks away. I've got a few craft shows in between now and then as well, so having lots of Christmas cards on hand is a good thing!

I used the colors from the challenge at Around the World Stampin' Up! Challenges for this card. I sponged the brown oval with Baked Brown Sugar, overtop of some punched out stars. Then I sponged the stars even more to make them darker and offset them a little bit to get a bit of a highlight behind them. It feels like a very cozy, country style card, probably because of the plaid background and the rustic sponging.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Joyeux tout (Merry Everything)
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Mossy Meadow

Paper: Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler card stock; Trim the Tree DSP

Peace & Beauty of the Season - CCMC328

I love it when cards take shape but you have no idea what you're going to do when you start working on it. I started this card for the color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary by wrapping 2 pieces of washi on my card. Then I figured I'd add some red flowers and decided on the sentiment to use. Then it seemed a bit too empty so I added some Gorgeous Grunge splotches to fill it in a bit.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Ornamental Pine, Gorgeous Grunge

Ink: Lost Lagoon, Cherry Cobbler

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Smoky Slate card stock

Misc: Petite Petals Punch, Labels Collection Framelits, Smoky Slate Candy Dots, All Is Calm Washi Tape

Stamped Porcelain Christmas Ornaments

On Saturday I saw Amy K's post about stamped porcelain ornaments and almost immediately went to the craft store to grab some blank porcelain ornaments to try to make my own.

I used Black Stazon ink with the Beauty of the Season and Bright & Beautiful stamp sets. I added some Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details and some colored pearls to jazz them up a bit.

Rustic Cardinal - MM133

This card is so simple, and yet anything I tried to add to it didn't look right, so I decided to keep it simple and leave it alone. The challenge this week at Merry Monday is to create a rustic Christmas card using browns, tans and creams. I sponged all the edges to give it a worn, rustic look. Super easy, but I like the end result. This'll be a great card to mass produce.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Beauty of the Season, Good Greetings
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar

Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla

Misc: Sponge Dauber

Glitter Shaker Scene - FabFri53

I decided to use this week's sketch from Fab Friday to make a shaker card. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate glitter? I momentarily forgot how horrific it is until I dumped it into the middle of my shaker and then wished I hadn't. Glitter sticks to EVERYTHING and gets EVERYWHERE. I'm pretty sure I'll be finding glitter on my cats for the next few days. Anyway, this is what I ended up with. Lots of sparkle and silver!

Peace and Beauty

Today's card is a simple one. I once again layered some silver glitter stars to make embellishments, and this time I added a pearl colored red. The sentiment is from the Ornamental Pine set.

Ho! Ho! Ho! - NAC113

Happy Halloween! I thought I'd share a Christmas card for the occasion ;)

My card today is for the sketch challenge at Nacho Average Challenges. I love how all the details are in the little tag and then the designer series paper takes care of the rest of the card. I colored in the images with my Blendabilities markers. Even though I wasn't blending them, they still are great for coloring in any image without streaks.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Get Your Santa On, Good Greetings
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White card stock; Trim the Tree DSP stack

Silver Christmas Bauble - CCMC326

This week's color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary is to use Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow and Silver. I went with making a Christmas card using the new single stamp Christmas Bauble. It was looking a little too simple, so I started to punch some silver stars to add on. By accident, 2 ended up on top of each other while I was punching them, and I liked the look so much that I decided to layer them up.

I like how the layered stars make little snowflakes!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Christmas Bauble

Ink: Versamark

Paper: Mossy Meadow, Whisper White card stock, Silver Glimmer Paper

Misc: Lost Lagoon & Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Markers, Oval Framelits, Silver Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (star), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Rhinestone, Lost Laggon 3/8" Silky Taffeta Ribbon

Starry Starry Night - TSSC337 & MM131

Two months until Christmas!! Today I made a Christmas card using non-traditional Christmas colors for the Merry Monday Challenge. I used the sketch challenge from Techno Stamper for the design. There are lots and lots of stars in this card, from the embossing folder to the stamping to the cut outs. I used my Big Shot a lot for this card compared to most of my cards, for all the different framelit cutting and embossing.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Good Greetings, White Christmas

Ink: Perfect Plum

Paper: Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette card stock; Silver Glimmer Paper

Misc: Circle Framelits, Star Framelits, Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Silver Baker's Twine, Rhinestone, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Sponge Dauber, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (small star)
