Little Baby Bumblebee - CCMC342

As soon as I saw this week's color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary I knew I would use the new Baby Bumblebee stamp. Isn't it sweet? Paired with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and Hello Honey ink, could this card *bee* any cuter (see what I did there?) :)

You Warm My Heart - CCMC335

I used some more new goodies for today's card for the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. I thought the sentiment from the soon to be available set Sheltering Tree worked well with the rest of this card to make a Valentines / Love / Friendship card.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Sheltering Tree*

Ink: Real Red

Paper: Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White card stock; Red Glimmer paper; Stacked With Live DSP stack*

Misc: Sponge dauber, dimensionals, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Sweetheart punch

Friend to Friend - CCMC330

Tangelo Twist is possibly one of my least used colors. I'm not an orange person in general, so I always end up choosing other colours. Even in this color challenge from Create with Connie and Mary, I added some touches of it as more of an afterthought to give it some extra punch. I pulled out my Vivid Vases set that I haven't used in awhile and colored it with the challenge colors. The background stripes are mimicked on the center vase.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Vivid Vases, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Stazon Black; Blackberry Bliss

Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Oval Framelits, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Banner Punch, Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, Stampin' Write Markers, Dimensionals, Rhinestones

Bright Smiley Flower - CCMC329

This week's sketch at Create with Connie & Mary was kinda odd looking to me :P I really didn't know what to do with it, but I knew that I did not want to make another Christmas card. Since it's been kinda gray and snowy here in Montreal, I decided to make something bright and cheerful with the Sweet Stuff stamp set. I figured a bunch of gold sequins would work well with this card, and this is what I ended up with. Not sure if I like it, but I give up trying to change it :)

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Sweet Stuff

Ink: Tempting Turquoise; Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Whisper White card stock; Sweet Taffy DSP

Misc: Gold Sequins, 1" Circle Punch, 2" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Framelits, Dimensionals, Pearls, Melon Mambo Blendabilities, Daffodil Delight Blendabilities

Peace & Beauty of the Season - CCMC328

I love it when cards take shape but you have no idea what you're going to do when you start working on it. I started this card for the color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary by wrapping 2 pieces of washi on my card. Then I figured I'd add some red flowers and decided on the sentiment to use. Then it seemed a bit too empty so I added some Gorgeous Grunge splotches to fill it in a bit.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Ornamental Pine, Gorgeous Grunge

Ink: Lost Lagoon, Cherry Cobbler

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Smoky Slate card stock

Misc: Petite Petals Punch, Labels Collection Framelits, Smoky Slate Candy Dots, All Is Calm Washi Tape

Silver Christmas Bauble - CCMC326

This week's color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary is to use Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow and Silver. I went with making a Christmas card using the new single stamp Christmas Bauble. It was looking a little too simple, so I started to punch some silver stars to add on. By accident, 2 ended up on top of each other while I was punching them, and I liked the look so much that I decided to layer them up.

I like how the layered stars make little snowflakes!

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Christmas Bauble

Ink: Versamark

Paper: Mossy Meadow, Whisper White card stock, Silver Glimmer Paper

Misc: Lost Lagoon & Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Markers, Oval Framelits, Silver Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, Itty Bitty Punch Pack (star), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Rhinestone, Lost Laggon 3/8" Silky Taffeta Ribbon

Monochrome CCMC323

For today's card, I decided to make an easy monochromatic card for the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. This card took me maybe 15 minutes from start to finish, which is good because I'm tired, and the week is only just starting!

Stamps: Beautiful Bunch

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White card stock; Back to Black DSP

Back to Black for CCMC322

Today's card is for the color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. These are obviously fall/Halloween colors, but as I've said before, I'm not much of a Halloween card maker, so I went a different way. I really wanted to showcase the black and yellow, so I just added a touch of orange to the flowers in the end. Isn't this Back to Black DSP lovely?

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Perfect Pennants, Petite Petals

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Crushed Curry

Paper: Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock; Back to Black DSP

Misc: Ovals Framelits, Petite Petals Punch, Tangerine Tango Candy Dots, Glue Dots

Better Get Better - CCMC321

My first thought when I saw this week's sketch from Create with Connie and Mary was to use washi, but then I looked at it a bit more and decided to use *some* washi and the Bordering Blooms set. A bit of ribbon and a flower, and I love how it turned out!

Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry

Paper: Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black, Whisper White card stock

Blue and Green Birthday - CCMC320

Every so often I like to make a random abstract background for a card. I thought the colors for this week's challenge at Create with Connie and Mary would make a nice one. I loved how it turned out so much that I didn't want to cover it up too much, so I added just a bit of baker's twine and a little sentiment to finish it off.

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Work of Art, Label Love

Ink: Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate

Paper: Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Artisan Label punch, Silver baker's twine, Rhinestones, Dimensionals

A Somewhat Masculine Birthday Card - CCMC319

I tried to use this week's sketch at Create with Connie and Mary to make a masculine birthday card. Somehow the butterfly and pearls makes it a bit less manly, but in a pinch it could probably work :) Otherwise, it'd be great for a non-girly girl :)

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Papillon Potpourri, Itty Bitty Banners

Ink: Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Baked Brown Sugar

Paper: Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White card stock

Misc: Ovals Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Butterfly punch, Sponge Dauber, Pealrs, Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Woodgrain Embossing folder

Squares! - CCMC318

Here's a card I did for the color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary this week. They are gorgeous colors together. I was also making a card for a private Facebook group challenge that had to have squares in the card. I wanted to try something different from my usual style, and this is what I came up with:

Recipe (all Stampin' Up!)

Stamps: A Dozen Thoughts

Ink: Versamark

Paper: Pool Party, Basic Grey, Hello Honey card stock

Misc: Squares Framelits, Pool Party Embossing Powder, Heat Gun

Peace & Joy - CCMC315

And it's another Christmas card! What can I say, I'm having fun playing with some of the new stuff. Actually, the only new thing on this card for this week's sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary is the DSP, and the sentiment stamp. I flipped the sketch on it's side, and love the look of it.

Good Thoughts for CCMC314

Here's a super simple card I made for the color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. I actually woke up one morning this week with this idea in my head, so I figured that these colors would work well for it. I used 3 different sets for this card, but they seems to fit together nicely... I'm not always so good with the simple cards, I always try to add more in, and I had to stop myself from adding more in here.

Stamps: Polka Dot Pieces, Gorgeous Grunge, Perfect Pennants

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Tangelo Twist, Basic Gray

PaperBasic Gray, Whisper White card stock
